Our three divisions, Social Justice Services, Community Strategies, and the Crime and Justice Institute are recognized for their effectiveness and contributions to this important work. 

     

    Within Social Justice Services (SJS) we support men and women leaving incarceration and young adults with complex clinical needs to make positive, and sustainable life transitions. SJS provides residential and non-residential services and programming in addition to staff development opportunities for our workforce. As we aim on expanding our workforce as well as services to our clients we are hiring a Clinical Director to be responsible for providing all clinical supervision and support to our Clinical Case Management team members in CRJ's Boston Residentry Programs.

    Responsibilities

    The Clinical Director will be onsite at the proposed reentry programs to facilitate group and individual counseling, to provide oversight and coaching to the Case Managers, perform necessary assessments, to coordinate relationships and referrals with community substance use and mental health service providers, and to coordinate staff training and coaching in best practices for substance use and mental health assessment and case planning.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Supervise and coordinate all clinical activities to ensure that quality, evidence-based, professional clinical services are provided to all clients.
    • Maintain open and professional communication with all clients, staff and outside contacts.
    • Develop, implement and review departmental policies and procedures to assure quality care and compliance with all pertinent laws and regulations.
    • Provide supervision to all clinical and educational staff, including timely and thoughtful job performance evaluations for all assigned staff.
    • Schedule, design, implement and maintain records of staff training and development activities.
    • Conduct trainings and guide professional development for CRJ staff in relevant topic areas.
    • Prepare all necessary reports, participate and/or facilitate administrative and staff meetings, conduct weekly case conference, and participate in other meetings as assigned.
    • Assist the Program Director's in ensuring that all required reports, records, and other materials concerning clients are complete, accurate and current. 
    • Provide direct client care as needed and supervise and facilitate client medication procedures.
    • Facilitate client educational classes and perform other duties of a Clinical Director as needed or assigned.
    • Coordinate and participate in the client disciplinary procedures.

    Qualifications

    • Credentials of LADC preferred; LICSW or LMHC 
    • At Least 2 years of Clinical supervisory experience, required.
    • Substance abuse counseling experience, minimum of two (4) years, required.
    • Fundamental knowledge of substance abuse and its treatment required.
    • Familiarity with MA DPH/BSAS regulations required.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. (Word, Excel, Outlook, SecureManage)
    • Ability to work with a diverse population required.
    • Valid driver’s license and Reliable Transportation
    • Bilingual, especially English/Spanish preferred.
