The Crime and Justice Institute (CJI), a division of Community Resources for Justice (CRJ), is a non-profit organization working at the local, state, and national level provides technical assistance, research and other services to improve outcomes in the corrections system, policing, pre-trial, re-entry, community supervision, juvenile justice, and more. CJI provides direct technical assistance, assessment, implementation, research, data analysis, training, facilitation, and more. Our team brings decades of experience developing evidence-based, data-driven policies, managing complex processes with diverse stakeholders, and driving systems-level organizational change.
Candidates must demonstrate strong organizational skills, and the maturity, superior interpersonal skills, and keen judgment needed to facilitate productive interactions with a variety of professional audiences. The ideal candidate for this position is able to work efficiently, is well-organized and detail-oriented, and can prioritize quickly and confidently. The position requires extensive data analysis and writing assignments; qualified candidates must have familiarity with current criminal justice research and exhibit excellent writing and critical thinking / analytic skills. Candidates must be able to work independently as well as part of multiple teams. The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and virtually-based work environment is critical. Some travel is required.

Relevant bachelor degree required. Advanced degree preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with work experience in police administration or research.
