    • Social Justice Services serves men and women transitioning out of prison and back into the community through a network of six residential reentry centers operated under contracts with federal, state, and county agencies. The division also runs a residential program for young adults with complex clinical needs.
    • Community Strategies supports adults with developmental or intellectual disabilities to live as independently as possible through a range of community-based residential options offering structure in a caring, home-like environment, as well as day programs.
    • The Crime and Justice Institute is a national-scale consulting practice that works with elected officials, justice system practitioners, policy makers, and thought leaders to effect significant reforms to promote safety and justice.

    The A/P Staff Accountant performs a variety of AP tasks under the direction of the Accounts Payable Supervisor. 


    Functional Responsibilities:

    • Function as an effective team member of the fiscal staff.
    • Respect the confidential nature of information accessed in the performance of the position.
    • Review, code and enter invoices into the accounts payable system.
    • Process expense and mileage reports biweekly and create file to be transmitted to payroll and general ledger entry.
    • Match invoices to checks and stuff and mail checks.
    • Generate check runs and electronic funds transfers in the absence of the Accounts Payable Supervisor.
    • Manage and run all of accounts payable when the Accounts Payable Supervisor is on vacation or working on large projects.
    • Prepare various ad hoc financial reports, analyses and functions as assigned by the Accounts Payable Supervisor or Director of Fiscal Operations or CFO
    • Maintain W-9 database and assist with 1099 process at calendar year end.


    • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite Products (i.e. Excel, Word, etc…)
    • Experience of automated accounting software systems. Epicor accounting software preferred.
    • Degree in accounting or 2 plus years related working experience in lieu of degree.
