Recruiting Associate

The Recruiting Associate will be responsible for partnering with the Talent Acquisition Manager, potential new employees as well as company hiring managers. This position requires a high volume of administrative functions, sourcing and interviewing candidates. The TAA will require flexibility in availability, excellent communication skills, be customer service oriented, very organized, technically savvy to manage multiple databases, and has a strong attention to detail.



Administrative Tasks:

  • Initiate background checks on all new employees
  • Monitor background statuses and provide updates to candidates and hiring managers where applicable
  • Provide quality customer services as the point of contact between candidates and human resources during the background check, offer, and onboarding process
  • Draft, send, and process offer letters
  • Send and compile onboarding documents into personnel files
  • E-verify I9s
  • Provide administrative support to recruiting team – scheduling interviews, updating applicant tracking system, drafting communications/ads, etc.


Recruitment Task:

  • Be a Point of Contact for up to 5 programs
  • Phone screen candidates for entry level  positions
  • Source candidates from job boards, ATS database, etc
  • Responsible for full cycle recruiting of targeted positions – sourcing, screening, interviewing, background, offer, onboarding
  • Attend manager meetings, new employee orientation, and manager trainings in absence of Talent Acquisition Manager
  • Attend recruiting events such as job fairs, campus fairs, industry events, and training events when necessary
  • Partner with hiring managers to develop recruiting strategies and assess candidate qualifications and selection
  • Create a candidate pipeline of candidates for targeted locations.


  • Undergraduate degree preferred and at least 2 years' of experience in recruitment or an HR focused environment.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and natural ability to establish trust and credibility.
  • Resourceful and able to proactively anticipate needs and provide solutions.
  • Knowledge of employment law and regulations.
  • Experience using applicant tracking systems.
  • Maintain discretion and confidentiality when working with sensitive information.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Word, MS Excel, and extensive experience with web-based tools and the internet.
